Real Members. Real Stories.
Ask a Forge member what they love,
and it’s never the desk.
Every founder in Birmingham running a business solo hits the same wall — making every call by yourself, celebrating the wins by yourself, starting to wonder if that’s just how it has to be. The members you’re about to hear from hit that wall too. Then they found Forge.

Hear It From Them
“I love working at the Forge. The staff has created such a welcoming atmosphere and provide amazing growth opportunities and space for social connections.”
— Dana
Working alone doesn’t announce itself as a problem.
It just quietly gets old — no one to grab lunch with, no one who gets what you’re building, no one to tell you when an idea’s actually good. You don’t need another desk. You need people. And that doesn’t fix itself — a year from now, still working alone, it just feels normal. That’s the part worth catching early.
Birmingham’s Small Business Hub
Forge has been Birmingham’s small business hub since 2017, above The Pizitz Food Hall downtown. We’ve watched hundreds of solo owners walk in guarded and walk out with people they actually call. Every coworking space can give you a desk and Wi-Fi. What you get here is people who know your name and ask how business is going — and mean it.
Another Member, Another Story
“Forge as a coworking space has everything you need to be as productive as possible – snacks, coffee/tea, meeting rooms, offices, dedicated desks, and general first-come-first-served co-working space. Forge, however, is truly more than just a co-working space. The Forge Team has created a community of people from all different industries – attorneys, nurses, media experts, architects, environmental consultants, sales experts, IT consultants, and startups that run the gamut. With events for members every week, at varying times of the day, there are opportunities for everyone to feel connected. I travel every other week for my job and Forge provides that consistency of a place to work when I am home. Also, having the Pizitz Food Hall downstairs is always convenient. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is constantly looking for a good place to work and coffee shops or their house just won’t cut it.”

Life at Forge
This is what “not alone” actually looks like.

Here’s the plan
1
Book a free tour
Two minutes. No pressure.
2
Meet the people already here
See the space, meet real members.
3
Decide for yourself
No sales pitch. Just a real look.
Picture this instead
You walk in and three people already know your name. Someone asks how that client call went, and actually remembers you had one. You’ve got a person to call when a decision’s hard — and a few people to celebrate with when it’s not. That’s not a perk. That’s the actual difference.
Questions people usually ask
Do I have to sign a contract?
No long-term commitment required — plans are month-to-month, so you’re never locked in past what actually works for you. Private offices are the one exception, and do require a 6 or 12 month commitment.
What’s parking like downtown?
Members get access to the covered parking deck, so you’re not circling the block or feeding a meter. The first two hours in the Pizitz Deck are free for Forge visitors. If you need more time, we offer monthly parking for $50/month.
I’m not really a “networking” person — is this still for me?
Most of our members weren’t either. Nobody’s handing you a name tag and pushing you into a circle. It’s just people who happen to be around, working, if and when you want to talk.
Can I try it before I commit?
Yes! We’d love for you to stay after your tour and work for the day. If another day would be better to try us out, we’re happy to plan that on your tour.
What does it actually cost?
Plans start at $99/month. The tour will walk you through what fits your business specifically — no pressure, no sales pitch.
